Yin Yoga postures are mainly on the floor and are more passive. You relax in the postures, soften the muscles and move closer to the bone. Yin offers a much deeper access to the body.

Yin Yoga postures are held for three to five minutes. The time spent in these postures is much like time spent in meditation; it is calming and balancing to the mind and body.
